loose teeth
sometimes fall out
of a personality
like beads that drop
and roll skittering away
surrendered to the void
beneath the floorboards
and in their stead
changeling out of sand
from bitter Arugula
crunching will form
a piece of enamel
in the gap
a glimmering pearl
of greater strength
proportion and brilliancy…
